Slow burn treason

Play It Fucking Loud Indeed

I just don't get life

Please don't confront me with my failures I've not forgotten them...

Rebel Without A Cause

I became so confused by the colourisation of Rebel Without A Cause since I last saw it about 10years ago that I had to put it back into black and white. Still I did think it was full of some superb clothes and general styling.

Kenneth Anger mark 2...

Just to explain Kenneth Anger he is basically a mad genius who shot some of the most incredible trippy films of all time from the 50s until the present day. His imagery and use of music burns itself into you somehow. He isn't a satanist and bizzarely he has cropped up recently in a few magazines apparently he has shot a video for the jonas brothers (hopefully he kills them) The dvd compiling his works magick lantern cycle is a must and its probably best if everyone just ignores the jonas brothers perhaps he just needs to pay off a house or eat.

50 posts and counting....

Except for the bit where batman fights a rubber.. I mean real shark whilst on a ladder hanging from the batcopter the orginal Batman is kinda rubbish but in a good way. Of other honourable mention is the joker who refused to shave his tache so its just painted over great look though.

The delights of local sights...

I'm afraid of everyone

The view from my window (bottom) A picture I found (top) Shutter speed experiments are the current obsession and smooth movement of tripods. All highly recommended.

The Beat that My Heart Skipped

To somehow explain the title of my blog. I'm sure I've ruined the beauty to be found in every frame of The beat that my heart...  it just is a film with something to say that I find incredibly moving and deep. Its filled with anger anger at wanting to change things and struggling to do so to find something better that you know is out there. It needs to be found but can be hard to find when your trapped in a world that you don't belong in or believe in. Its so hard to watch at times when things can't be hidden from and people fall back into the things they hate because sometimes it feels as if there is no escape. It just touched me quite profoundly the first time I watch it and anyone who knows me realises this the amount I go on about it without giving my reasons outside of its fantastic performances and amazing soundtrack. It had an even greater effect on me than the first time I saw taxi driver when I was just blown away by its grittiness and its central performance. The Beat That My Heart Skipped just needs to be seen I can't do it any sort of justice unfortunately. I didn't really feel my blog would get me writing but I do enjoy a good bit of writing so who knows...
